Here is shown a portion of the original “Lighthouse” image along with simulations of images taken with a Bayer sensor demosaiced in four different ways. (Details and references are given in the paper). Also shown is a 2PFCTM image demosaiced using a spatial/directional algorithm. It is clear that the 2PFCTM image exhibits much less color aliasing than even the best Bayer algorithm.
