At SLA, you will find a team of motivated, educated, and talented people who approach their work with enthusiasm and passion.
The SLA technical staff includes members with degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Imaging Science, and Biomedical Engineering, to name a few. To help guide our research in view of market trends and business conditions, SLA has several members with MBA degrees and business-related backgrounds. And to maintain SLA’s position as a leader in intellectual property, SLA has an in-house legal team. Over half of SLA members hold advanced degrees.
The diverse team at SLA has members representing more than 15 different countries of origin. We believe that our cultural and educational diversity fosters creativity, bringing different perspectives and insights to each of our projects.
LEADERSHIP
Kecia Andersen is the Senior Director of Finance and Business Operations at Sharp Laboratories of America (SLA). Kecia has responsibility for accounting and financial reporting, budget management, human resources, and general business operations.
Prior to joining SLA in 2011, Kecia was Corporate Controller at Vital Therapies, a company specializing in human cell-based liver therapy. Kecia previously worked at Intel Corporation, focusing on international accounting operations, and she has held managerial positions in accounting and finance in a number of different industries. Kecia also has experience in public accounting performing audit and tax work.
Kecia received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Oregon and is an Oregon licensed CPA. Kecia enjoys getting outside to play golf or ski and enjoys watching or playing a variety of other sports.
